Sat 14th March 20

Again not special weather wise this morning with rain first thing, a cold wind and overcast skies. A short sea-watch which gave just a few Cormorant and R T Diver moving about offshore was finished 15 mins before Paul Brayshaw reported a G N Diver north passed Frinton. PL/IM/MM/MR.
We split up and most of the southern end of the site was covered with nothing of note found.

From the hide : 1 Black Swan, 2 Canada Geese, 7 Brent (over), c100 Wigeon, c70 Teal, 32 Shoveler, 14 Shelduck, 4 Gadwall (drakes), 30 Curlew, 20+ Snipe, 22 Avocet, 10 Lapwing, 1 Oystercatcher, 1 Dunlin, 1 Water Rail, 3 Buzzard, 1 Kestrel, 1 Barn Owl, 1 Grey Wagtail. PL/PRD/IM/MM/MR

12:22 Golf course area fairly quiet - 2 Stonechat, 6 Redwing (NFY), 2 Buzzard and 2 Chiffchaff (all within haven boundary). 4 R T Diver and 2 Gannet north also from haven part of sea wall.

15:59 PM update for scrape.
1 Buzzard, 1 Marsh Harrier, 1 Dunlin, 5 Blackwits, 21 Avocets, 3 Drake Gadwall. No sign of Grey Wagtail Wigeon, Teal, Shoveler, and Shelduck as per.

17:28 Scrape late pm.
Grey Wag in brook, 21 Avocet, 4 Blackwit, 3 Gadwall, good no’s of Shoveler still.
Couple of Chiffs only passerines of note in bushes.
