Sat 21st March 20

I had a short visit this afternoon and managed to see the Ruff from the top of the hill, but it was very busy with loads of people walking the seawall, like a Bank Holiday.
Matt had another good day with Crossbill added to the year list, he's on a bit of a roll at the moment

08:31 4 Crossbill N from dipping pond now!
09:53 Some of the best numbers of large gulls here I’ve seen In a long time from raised platform atm, nothing obviously good and viewing difficult.
10:20 Ruff on scrape
11:23 Black Redstart over seawall and into golf course dump. Presumably straight in/off sea
11:58 Firecrest still in ringing compound, in area of old small pond.
13:38 We had a Male wheatear also near gc dump earlier and seemed to be a lot more chiffy's about.
IN OTHER NEWS, The cafes open again but for takeaway only!

Max Martin

09:01 2 Firecrest Ringing Compound.

Paul Brayshaw

12:29 Not much to report from golf course area other than a Buzzard on the back hedge. Black Red flew past us along the lower seawall but seemed to keep going past the Frinton greensward toilet block.  Didn’t see particularly well but a fem type. Highlight though was a close common seal playing in the waves off the raised tee that the kids really enjoyed.
