Wed 11th March 20

Still very wet all around the site, a walk through the carpark bushes to the raised platform was a bit mucky but a decent flock of Goldfinch and L.T.Tits were nice, on the pools below the platform were c100 Wigeon, 20 Teal, 4 Shoveler, 2 Shelduck and a large mixed gull flock.

On the way to the hide 3 Adders were noted (see Haven Wildlife page).

From the hide : 1 Black Swan, 1 Brent Goose (first thing), 120 Wigeon, 120 Teal, 51 Shoveler, 35 Shelduck, 25 Avocet, 20+ Snipe, 20 Curlew, 6 Lapwing, 3 Dunlin, 1 BlkWit, 1 Oystercatcher, 1 Lt. Grebe, 1 Lt Egret, 1 Kestrel. JH/DW/MR
