Sat 26th Sept 20

Still wet and windy, but now cold as well, felt like winter out there today. I joined Matt Lonsdale at the shelter and had a look out to sea for a while, he had a few birds before I arrived including a ring-tailed Hen Harrier off-shore. In the next hour we had 1+ Arctic Skuas (s), 2 Gannet (n), 4 Snipe (s), 1 Auk sp. (n), 1 Med Gull (s). ML/PL/MR

At 10:15 the sea-watch was aborted when Peter Newton phoned to say he had seen a Radde's Warbler in the car park bushes, the rest of the morning was spent trying to relocate it, but to no avail. PNt/PRD/PL/ML/MR.
