Tues 22nd Sept 20
We concentrated on the bushes again this morning but unfortunately couldn't find a YBW, my contribution was 5+ Chiffs around the Dipping Pond and Approach road, thankfully Pete Davis managed to find a Ring Ouzel at 09:45 in the Orchard area that flew to the bottom hedge and after spending sometime in the bramble was seen briefly flying across the marsh to the Brook hedge and being lost to view. PRD/MR.
Simon Cox had some good birds during his ringing session in the reed-bed (see Ringing page).

3 Canada Geese, 100+ Teal, 9 Shelduck, 5 Cormorant, 1 Grey Heron, c140 Lapwing, 7 Curlew, 2 Snipe, 1 BlkWit, 1 Redshank, 1 Dunlin, 24 Blk H Gulls, 5 Herring Gulls, 1 Buzzard 2 Kestrel. DW/BH/MR.

17:59 Late afternoon visit, 4 Chiffs, 1 Willow Warbler, 1 Blackcap & Yellow Wag at the dipping pond.100+ Swallow feeding over marsh. Mounds area, 4 Blackcap, 2 Chiffchaff & 2 Stonechat.
