I started my morning at the farm and very nice it was to, not to have a gale of wind was very welcome. Then a walk along the front to see Brian's Black Redstart which had moved to the wood pile near the first pillbox and when I left it was on the pillbox itself. Most of my numbers were similar to Brian's report below , 6 Turnstone on the sluice rocks were an addition, plus the pair of Sparrowhawk were again in the car park bushes and the Kestrels are back in the box on the PLA pylon.

08:29 Haven: Black Redstart (female type) on seawall by digger compound.
14:34 Haven this morning, in addition to the Black Redstart, included: 3 Cetti’s Warbler (singing, 1 either end of the golf course, 1 by hide), 16 Linnets (golf course/Haven), 4 Reed Bunting (singing), 47 Avocet, 2 Redwing (by the brook), 1 Sparrowhawk, 1 Chiffchaff (singing), 2 Chinese muntjac, 2 Buzzard, 4 Mediterranean Gulls (2 on scrape, 2 over golf course), 2 Black-tailed Godwit, 15 Shoveler, 4 Redshank, 6 Meadow Pipit, 2 Stonechat (pair near third pillbox), 2 Corn Bunting (singing, probably 3), 1 Green Woodpecker, 1 Mistle Thrush (farm), 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker (drumming in wood by farm).

16:29 Black Red still nr. log pile, of note on scrape a min. of 38 adult Med Gulls and one of 1st W. record?
