Sat 30th April 22



The were a few more things around this morning, Matt had the first Cuckoo seen this year while watching the Ring Ouzel still around the chippings lay-by for it's 6th day. Later he and Richard had 30+ Whimbrel on the golf Course and a male Stonechat along the front.

On the Scrape were 2 new Green Sandpipers plus:- 2 Canada Geese, 10 Shelduck, 6 Teal, 2 Shoveler, 2 Mallard, 1 Gadwall, 21 Avocet, 4 Redshank, 3 Snipe, 3 Whimbrel (over), 2 Oystercatcher, 1 Spotted Redshank, Blk Headed Gulls, 2 LBB, Cetti's Warbler, Whitethroat, Sedge Warbler, Linnets, 1 Marsh Harrier, 1 Buzzard, 1 Peregrine, 1 Sparrowhawk, 1 Kestrel. 07:37 Male rouzel still in field from chippings lay-by + Cuckoo

16:51 Visit the morning- Cuckoo and rouzel from chippings lay-by. Another Cuckoo on marsh from approach road. Brief snatch of song from a Willow Warbler In ringing compound. 

On scrape- Water Rail, Spot Red, 2 Green Sands, 5 Snipe. Peregrine and Marsh Harrier seen plus few Swallows through. 30+ Whimbrel on Golf course.
